After stepping down from the demands of being a social worker for 25 years, Kim Wright decided it was time to be “me” — and give her creative side the space to come alive. With a leap of faith, she became self-employed and invested in an embroidery machine, turning a long-held passion into a business she could truly call her own.
Hoop & Bobbin is the result: a small Lincolnshire-based embroidery business rooted in care, creativity, and attention to detail. Whether Kim’s stitching a personalised gift, embellishing vintage denim, or bringing a customer’s custom idea to life, everything she makes is designed to be both beautiful and meaningful.
Kim brings the same warmth, thoughtfulness, and dedication to her embroidery as she did throughout her previous career — only now, it’s expressed in colour, texture, and thread. Every item is made with pride, personality, and a genuine love of the craft.

Boston United Craft Fayre
Boston United is throwing open the gates for a fantastic community day the whole family can enjoy! There’ll be stadium tours, live entertainment, games and sports, fun inflatables, a craft fair, and the chance to meet the first team, and even BUSA Bear! With food, drinks, and activities for all ages, it’s set to be a brilliant day out. And best of all… entry is completely free!
